The birthday girl at school

"Happy birthday to you…happy birthday dear Cedar…happy birthday to you!"
There's something about the above photo that makes me want to swoop up my baby girl and rock her in my arms. Little miss independent soaking up the birthday song and holding back a smile. She was our 4 lb peanut in the beginning and now I look at her sitting at the table eating cupcakes with her girlfriends and being that kid who has the pink tennis shoes that the other girls desire.

baby Bryce

Our friends BT and Cat just had their first baby. Well I guess I shouldn't say first, they have a Boston Terrier named Bradley who you'll meet in a sec. Sweet little Bryce is 2 weeks old here and looks a lot like his daddy. It's hard to believe mine were ever this small. Wow, it really does fly by! Bryce was awake when I arrived then Cat put him into a milk induced sleep…
These are some of my favorites from our little photo session together.

Bryce met his cousins Nora and Hazel for the first time while I was there. Nora has the best curls and was quite smitten by Bryce.
Bradley is still warming up to his brother.

Searching for green

We had some unseasonably warm weather a couple weeks ago. The kind of weather where you don't need a coat, hat or gloves and can eat your snack outside. It was a welcome change and a tease for what's to come. We found lots of mossy clumps scattered in the woods and on the bottom of the trees. It's such a wonderful green.

Where's Winnie?

And because Allie loves Toy Story…

This and that…

"Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory" ~ Dr. Seuss
These are photos from my day in a house with three little ones, two of which are mine. Eli's fuzzy head. His hair slow to grow just like his sisters. He loves books and a good surprise, even when it's been read to him 50 times.
I see you and all those teeth!
One of the many looks from my little girl, who's about to turn four. I love it when that one piece of hair drops to the side of her face and curls at the end. She's tired and always fights it.
An outfit change and a snack and she's ready to go…
Our 12 year old golden and her shaggy paws. Ready for a treat. Good girl.
 Just look at the focus.
And Miss Winter Rose. Happy tummy time in the afternoon light. She has the best smile and loves to watch Cedar and Eli run around.

Winnie waking up

Remember Winnie? She stays with us two days a week and is so sweet. During her nap yesterday I went in to check on her. She was in baby dreamland and smiling in her sleep. I couldn't resist so I ran and grabbed my camera and opened the curtains to let in some natural light. She opened her eyes, flashed me a huge smile and stretched. Ahh...life is good, especially after a 3 hour nap!
